Hi
i have the casserver running with no problem , when someone come and choose a game like CSS direct link to it, it will take him to the game with no problem update if needed and load the game. thats good

but when i try to go dirrectly and try to use open casclient it won't work

casclient.cfg is fine i checked it and the ip is correct to the caserver

the problem is when i try open the casclient program it opens then close automatically, casclient wont stay open 1 sec before closing on me. Sad

i go back to the caserver and i see that the client connected then disconnected

casserver say :

IP: xx.x.x.xxx Accepted
Current Connections: 1
Client xx.x.x.xxx logging out
Socket shutdown
Current Connections: 0

the caserver ip is correct on the casclient.cfg

i tryed to get  help with valve and no its impossible to talk to them

if anyone jknow the problem, please let me know
thank you

A little confusing there champ but I will see if I can help.

Firstly, Valve are not supporting CAS anymore, so I doubt you will get support from them.

I THINK you are referring to loading steam on the client (just steam not a game) and it quits straight away?

The only thing I can suggest is check to make sure you have no arguements in your shortcut that have -exit or -shutdown in them.

Otherwise I have no idea...sorry champ.

yes sorry i meant opening steam using casclient

i don't have any arguments at all and i don't use any shorcut

i just go and try to open the casclient from the steam folder directly so it can load all the images from the caserver and not online... Sad

its stupid.. it opens and close without giving any error.....

what can i do?

Hi
Damien is correct. the CAS is no longer supported as of the 1 Nov 2008
And the client that everyone should be using is located here http://store.steampowered.com/about/

As far as updates are concerned update 1 pc and then copy the files to the other PCs ( large updates that is)

Also everyone should also be using fix accounts that were sent out in October.

Cheers

I notified cafes weeks ago about the VTT system being dissabled on the 1 November. Cafes had plenty of time to sort things out.

Also the CAS had  nothing to do with logining in problems. Logins were handled by certificates. The CAS was only used for updates & Games saves. The was always an option, some cafes never used it.

You can call me on 0419 949280 like most people do. You have not notified CGA that you wish to cancel at all.
You will recieve a credit for the unused time, This credit will be applied against your next billing. If you cancel before the credit is applied you will lose the credit.
You can use CCP or Smartlaunch to roam the accounts over all of the PCs in your centre.
One of the reasons for going back to accounts is because Cafes were not sercuring their PCs and certificates were getting stolen and sold to the general public over the net. So cafes have only got themselves to blame.
All countries are now on fixed accounts. Most countries had already moved back to fixed accounts. We were one of the last. I tried to keep the benifits of the VTT system for cafes for as long as I could.
I try my best to keep everyone happy Smiley

How are we meant to log into our cafe account >?

No matter what pc I  use they all say missing cert and can not access anything

https://cafe.steampowered.com/index.php?area=cafe/missingCert

the only thing I can do is re create / register with an IP address option :S

also I can not get it to work with SL

There is no login for cafes anymore as there is no need for it. Make sure the Steam EXE you are running has no parameters after it. It should be just steam.exe. If there are then it is likely that they are telling Steam to look for certificates. This is when you will get an error. As with SL I am not a full bottle on it, but check to make sure the target is also just steam.exe
There is no need to register IP or anything like that any more.

Hope this helps
